In 1997, 6 ports, namely Tekirdag, Rize, Ordu,
Sinop, Giresun and Hopa have been privatized by the
transfer of management rights method for 30 years.
In 1998
Antalya
Port
and in 2000 Alanya and
Marmaris
Ports
were privatized by the same method.
Kuşadası, Çeşme,
Trabzon
and Dikili Ports privatizations were completed in
2003.
Merger
Turkish Shipyard Industry Co. was merged to TDİ
on May 2002.
Ferry
Lines
The
PA opened a tender for selling of M/F Samsun, M/F
Ankara ferries and M/F TDI Karadeniz ship on November
11, 2004. According to the resolution of the PHC dated
December 2, 2004, No:115. PA sold ferries to
Denizciler Turizm ve Denizcilik A.Ş. and ship to
Ortadoğu Nakliyat İnşaat Turizm İhracat Pazarlama
A.Ş.
City
Passenger Lines
The
transfer of TDI's city passenger and car carrying
facilities to
Istanbul
Municipality
has been completed on March 15, 2005 and
Çanakkale
Municipality
on August 15, 2006.
Today,
TDI has not got any facilities of ferry lines and
passenger carrying lines.
Piloting
and Tugboat Services
According
to the PHC decision dated on 04.05.2010 numbered
2010/29 TDI’s facilities related to piloting and
tugboat services with 823 personnel were transferred
to the Directorate General of
Coastal Safety.
