PRIVATIZATION METHOD |
Transfer
of management rights for ports. Transfer
of ownership of city passenger maritime transport to
the related minicipalities. Block sale of ferries
ships and real estates.

SUMMARY OF PRIVATIZATION IMPLEMENTATION |
Ports
In 1997, 6 ports, namely Tekirdag, Rize, Ordu,
Sinop, Giresun and Hopa have been privatized by the
transfer of management rights method for 30 years.
In 1998
Antalya
Port
and in 2000 Alanya and
Marmaris
Ports
were privatized by the same method.
Kuşadası, Çeşme,
Trabzon
and Dikili Ports privatizations were completed in
2003.
Merger
Turkish Shipyard Industry Co. was merged to TDİ
on May 2002.
Ferry
Lines
The
PA opened a tender for selling of M/F Samsun, M/F
Ankara ferries and M/F TDI Karadeniz ship on November
11, 2004. According to the resolution of the PHC dated
December 2, 2004, No:115. PA sold ferries to
Denizciler Turizm ve Denizcilik A.Ş. and ship to
Ortadoğu Nakliyat İnşaat Turizm İhracat Pazarlama
A.Ş.
City
Passenger Lines
The
transfer of TDI's city passenger and car carrying
facilities to
Istanbul
Municipality
has been completed on March 15, 2005 and
Çanakkale
Municipality
on August 15, 2006.
Today,
TDI has not got any facilities of ferry lines and
passenger carrying lines.
Galataport Project
Salıpazarı
Port of TDI (Galataport Project) was planned to be
done by Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Method and State
High Planning Council was decided to make TDI
executing the project. Galataport Project tender
process was started on July 10,2005 by publishing the
tender announcement. The bidding deadline for the
tender was August 24, 2005 and 3 bidders applied. On
February 02, 2006 the Tender Commitee cancelled the
tender process due to the court decision.
In order to eliminate
the legal land issues about
Galataport
,
within the framework of law No:5398, PA is
preparing a new reconstruction plan. |
