Batman Refinery
Batman
refinery is the first refinery built in Turkey in
1955 with a capacity of 330 000 tons/year. Due to
increasing demand in the region, the capacity of the
refinery was increased by Debottlenecking Project to
580 000 tons/year in 1960. Crude oil processing
capacity of Batman refinery which was continuously
being upgraded with modernization studies reached
1.1 million tons/year with commissioning of a new
crude unit in 1972. The refinery was built by using
American technology.
